third week of student exchange in the philippines

 - Monday 2 October 2023

Today is teachers’ day in the Philippines, so today's activity is to perform art performances performed by junior high school students and university students.

This activity is very good because students can develop their skills, besides that students can also improve their cohesiveness and solidarity because many perform per group.

I like it when students perform native dances here. Because that way the students have preserved the culture of their ancestors and made the original culture of the Philippines not lost in the current generation of young people. Because the Philippines is also a country that has been exposed to the current trends of western countries.

This morning we conducted class observations. The first is observation to grad 8 class of mam Neriza.

Unexpectedly the students gave a surprise to mam neriza, because yesterday was teachers’ day and they were celebrating now.

Before eating. Students have to do the quiz in physical education first, because mam neriza already has a schedule for today. and we watched how mam neriza taught.

The students took the exam by means of multiple choice questions, and after finishing working on the mam neriza called her students one by one to answer the questions on her laptop. So, here we can know which students have understood and not with the lesson.

After the learning activity is complete, we do eating activities, because the students prepare a lot of food to celebrate teachers’ day.

After that we made observations to grade 10, namely the class of mam rosnal. Here mam rosnal teaches about health. I matched the way she taught with my lesson plan.

After that we continued to observe Mr Kenet's class, 3rd year student. They are preparing to perform on 10 October at the gym, here I only see because I don't like to do dance.

- Thursday 5 October 2023

This morning we conducted another observation in mam neriza's class. Today's class is PE grade8, here we warm up then practice to do push ups and sit ups, here we teach them how to push ups and sit ups properly. After that the students are called per two people to take the assessment. I was in charge of taking the sit up score. For grade 8, sit ups and push ups have a maximum repetition of 20.

After that mam neriza also took the assessment in grade 7, but in grade 7 only took 10 repetitions for the maximum value
